History

Born in Lawton, Oklahoma July 26, 1952 but raised in Fletcher, Oklahoma - Started singing at an early age and when he was 12 years old picked up his first guitar. Like so many others he was influenced by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Ottis Redding, and many more.

But when he turned 18 in 1970 he got into B.B. King and his musical life changed forever. Burt performed with many different bands in the early 70's. He moved to Tulsa during the time Leon Russel was living there with the Shelter People.

Burt was 20 years old when he lived, worked, and played around Leon's Studio's in Tulsa. Burt played with Xebec until 1974 then he married Maryam his wife still married after 35 years.

Burt's family - 2 brothers and a sister still live in Fletcher and his mother Dolores Herrin.

Burt has recorded 4 CD's since 1980. His first passion is High Energy Electrified Blues. He has had the good fortune to perform with many great players, Leon Russel, Room Full of Blues, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Sly and the Family Stone, Delbert McClinton, Joe Ely, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Big Brother and the Holding Co. @ Medicine Park Music Hall and Mitch Ryder also @ The Music Hall.

Burt now lives in Edmond, Ok. and Midland, Tx. He hopes to release a new CD by the end of 2009 called Global Warming.
